Thursday the 29th of January was a miserable sleety day, the mud even colder. At about half four I shouted to Ben as a blizzard drove across a rare blue sky, we weren't part of this blizzard, just spectators. I always find it fascinating to watch somebody else's weather play out in front of me....trailing sheets of rain or sunlight racing across field between the clouds. What happened after the blizzard was stunning; we witnessed the back end of the blizzard as it rumbled off towards Fairford, up lit by the setting sun, there's a good chance I'll never see this again.

Blizzard heading off on a Cotswold evening scraping the top of the Hairy Hedge.
