The Gardens at Barnsley House

Laburnum Walk & Bob Dash Beds cut back, cleaned up, bulbs planted & munched with Barnsley House compost.

Last Thursday we planted two hundred Tulip 'Apeldoorn' (scarlet) along the insides of the Laburnum Walk and one hundred Tulip 'Maureen Double' (white, flushed green and a good six inches taller than the usual 'Mount Tacoma', which is purer white and later flowering). Sometimes I feel 'Mount Tacoma', being quite short, gets over run by impatient spring neighbours so we've thrown bossy Maureen into the  melee!
